Astha Prayas
Astha Prayas
Working in the underserved communities of Jwala Nagar and Vivek Vihar, East Delhi, Astha Prayas is an initiative of Prayas JAC Society focused on the education, care, and development of marginalized and working children. The project supports vulnerable children and families through community-based educational and developmental interventions.
Key Interventions
- Educational support and mainstreaming into schools
- Mid-day meals and basic healthcare support
- Vocational training and self-employment opportunities for girls
- Library, creative, and recreational activities for children
- Exposure visits, trekking, dance, and personality development activities
Our Approach
The initiative creates a supportive environment where children can continue learning, build confidence, and access opportunities often unavailable within vulnerable communities. Along with educational support, the project also focuses on encouraging creativity, participation, and overall well-being among children.
Community Engagement
Through continuous outreach and community engagement, Astha Prayas continues to promote learning, empowerment, and brighter opportunities for children and families in East Delhi.
