Children’s Home for Boys, Jahangirpuri — Delhi

The Children’s Home for Boys at Jahangirpuri, Delhi, was established in January 1999 as a pilot project of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, for neglected, street-connected, and working children. Located near Azadpur, one of Asia’s largest fruit and vegetable markets, the area has a large concentration of vulnerable and destitute children living in difficult circumstances. The construction cost of the home was supported by the Planning Commission.


About the Home

The home provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children in need of care and protection, ensuring access to shelter, nutrition, education, healthcare, counselling, and recreational activities.

Vocational Training

Through continuous care, mentoring, and educational support, the home continues to help children build confidence, resilience, discipline, and pathways towards safer and more independent futures.
