Across India, millions of young minds from underserved communities complete school without the skills or direction needed to secure meaningful livelihoods. Gyan Kaushal – Ek Prayas is a pioneering initiative by Prayas JAC Society, reimagining school education by integrating industry-relevant vocational training into mainstream government and low-income private schools.

This effort empowers students with practical skills, digital fluency, soft skills, and career awareness—making them future-ready and confident contributors to the global economy.

Geographic Reach

Spanning several schools across Delhi, Bihar, Gujarat, Assam, and Madhya Pradesh, the initiative has reached more than 1,000 students in its first phase, with a vision to scale further.

  • 92% students expressed a strong desire for job-relevant skills.
  • 72% are unaware of career paths.
  • 68% lack basic communication skills.
  • Parents and educators are ready for change—but lack resources and support systems.
