Established in June 2005, the Prayas Institute of Economic Empowerment (PIEE), a unit of Prayas JAC Society, focuses on creating livelihood opportunities for youth and women from marginalized and underserved communities across multiple states in India.

Reach
PIEE currently operates around 170 vocational training centres across 13 States and Union Territories including Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Assam, Haryana, Arunachal Pradesh, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
National Partnerships
PIEE collaborates with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and implements NSQF-aligned courses under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
Initiatives
Under PIEE, Prayas runs five Jan Shikshan Sansthans (JSS) and livelihood initiatives like SPSS and Zaika Production cum Marketing Centre, promoting sustainable livelihoods, self-reliance, and economic empowerment for marginalized communities.
