PRAYAS-RSLDC-4: BHOR(Bhikshuk Orientation & Rehabiliatation) PROJECT

Inception- This special project was allocated to Prayas JAC Society by Rajasthan Skill Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC) in December 2020 and the project became operational in March 2021.

Target beneficiaries- The main objective of the program, launched by Hon. Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sh. Ashok Gehlot is to make Jaipur city beggars free by rehabilitating and giving vocational training to 20 beggars per batch allocated by RSLDC.

Brief of the project – Based on quantitative analysis and examination of the living conditions of the beggars, the scheme was initiated to provide vocational training to the beggars and reinducting them to the mainstream of the society. The program entailed counselling, skill training and rehabilitation through wage employment/self-employment. The program also encompassed creating legal identities for the beggars by making their valid identity cards like Aadhaar and opening bank accounts.
