Human trafficking or human trafficking has emerged as a very complex problem in many countries around the world. It is like a black spot on human civilization and it is a violation of the basic rights given to every human being in this nature. According to the National Human Rights Commission, every year forty thousand children are abducted in India, out of which eleven thousand are not even known.
Being the capital of a country with a large population like India, New Delhi has emerged as a hub for smugglers, especially young boys and girls. Young boys are forced into child labour and girls are sold into illegal people to work as sex workers. In this sequence, trafficked children from all over the country, especially from backward and poor states like Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and Odisha, are brought to New Delhi via rail or bus. According to a news reports, before the Covid epidemic, according to an estimated figure, about 200 children were rescued every month from various railway stations in Delhi.
Railway Childline is also trying very hard to free the children from the clutches of human traffickers and give them a secure and happy future and is playing a leading role by working in this field. In view of this, Prayas JAC Society Railway CHILDLINE has launched a rescue operation from 1st to 15th July 2022 to rescue smuggled boys and girls in the vicinity of New Delhi Railway Station, especially in Nabikarim and Paharganj and GB Road which is a red-light area. During this, Childline workers rescued a total of 90 children, including 80 boys and 10 girls. After the rescue operation, children were presented before the Child Welfare Committee at Mayur Vihar and sent to a safe place for safety and care. Efforts are on to rehabilitate the rescued children. Prayas Child Line has also carried out rescue campaigns several times in the last months and is playing the role of their care and protection by presenting them before the Child Welfare Committee. Prayas JAC (Juvenile Aid Centre) Society rescued 67 children in April, 93 in May and 78 in June.

मानव तस्करी के खिलाफ जंग में प्रयास रेलवे चाइल्डलाइन निभा रहा है अग्रणी भुमिका।
ह्यूमन ट्रैफिकिंग अथवा मानव तस्करी विश्व भर के कई देशों में एक अत्यंत जटिल समस्या बन कर उभरा है। यह मानव सभ्यता पर काले धब्बे के समान है तथा इस प्रकृति में प्रत्येक मनुष्य को मिलने वाले मूल अधिकारों का हनन है। नेशनल ह्यूमन राइट्स कमीशन के अनुसार भारत में प्रत्येक वर्ष चालीस हजार बच्चों का अपहरण होता है जिसमें से ग्यारह हजार का कुछ पता भी नहीं चलता है।
भारत जैसे विशाल आबादी वाले देश की राजधानी होने के फलस्वरूप नई दिल्ली में तस्करी करके लाए गए लोगों, खासतौर पर छोटे लड़के और लड़कियों के लिए एक केंद्र बन कर उभरा है। छोटे लड़कों को बाल मजदूरी में झोककर तथा लड़कियों को जबरदस्ती सेक्स वर्कर के रूप में काम करने के लिए अवैध लोगों के हाथों में बेच दिया जाता है। इसी क्रम में देश भर से, खासतौर पर बंगाल, बिहार, झारखंड, असम और ओडिसा जैसे पिछड़े व गरीब राज्यों से तस्करी कर लाए गए बच्चों को नई दिल्ली तक रेल या बस के माध्यम से लाया जाता है। दी हिन्दू में छपे एक खबर के अनुसार कोविड महामारी से पूर्व एक अनुमानित आंकड़े के मुताबिक प्रतिमाह लगभग 200 बच्चों को दिल्ली के विभिन्न रेलवे स्टेशन से रेस्क्यू किया जाता था।
बच्चों को मानव तस्करों के चंगुल से मुक्त कराने तथा उन्हें एक सुरक्षित और खुशहाल भविष्य देने हेतु
प्रयास रेलवे चाइल्डलाइन भी अत्यंत प्रयत्नशील है और इस क्षेत्र में कार्य करते हुए एक अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रहा है। इस मद्देनजर चाइल्डलाइन ने 1 से 15 जुलाई 2022 तक नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन के आसपास के इलाके, खासतौर पर नबीकरिम व पहाड़गंज तथा जीबी रोड जो कि एक रेड लाइट एरिया है, में तस्करी कर के लाए गए लड़के तथा लड़कियों को छुड़ाने हेतु एक रेस्क्यू अभियान चलाया। इस दौरान चाइल्डलाइन के कार्यकर्ताओं ने कुल 90 बच्चों को छुड़ाया, जिसमें 80 लड़के और 10 लड़कियां थी। रेस्क्यू अभियान के बाद उन्हें मयूर विहार स्थित बाल कल्याण समिति के समक्ष पेश किया गया तथा सुरक्षित स्थान पर सुरक्षा व देखभाल हेतु भेज दिया गया। रेस्क्यू किए गए बच्चों के पुनर्वास का प्रयास जारी है। प्रयास चाइल्ड लाइन ने पिछले महीनों में भी कई बार रेस्क्यू अभियान चलाया और बाल कल्याण समिति के समक्ष पेश कर उनकी देखभाल और सुरक्षा की भूमिका निभा रहा है। प्रयास ने अप्रैल में 67, मई में 93 तथा जून में 78 बच्चों को रेस्क्यू किया।
